Job summary

Tradestaff is seeking an experienced Leading Hand in Warkworth, Auckland to lead a crew on concrete foundations, slabs, formwork and flooring projects. You will oversee daily site activities, maintain high workmanship, and ensure safe, efficient project delivery.

The role requires hands-on leadership, a proven background in concrete works, and a full NZ driver’s licence. Ongoing opportunities with Tradestaff are available.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience on construction sites.
• Strong hands-on ability with concrete foundations, slabs, formwork and flooring.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Full NZ driver’s licence is required.
• Solid understanding of workplace health and safety.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, hardworking and able to work independently.

Tradestaff is looking for an experienced Leading Hand with strong skills in concrete foundations, slabs, formwork and flooring for a project in Warkworth, Auckland. If you're confident leading a crew, hands‑on with concrete work, and take pride in delivering quality results, we want to hear from you!

Location: Warkworth, Auckland

Pay rate: $40 per hour

About the Role

We're seeking a hands‑on Leading Hand who can confidently lead a crew while working on concrete foundations, slabs, formwork and flooring projects. You'll oversee daily site activities, maintain high workmanship standards, and ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise on site.


• Set up formwork and prepare and pour concrete foundations, slabs and flooring.


• Complete screeding, levelling, and concrete finishing.


• Read and interpret construction plans and specifications.


• Coordinate daily tasks and manage site workflow.


• Monitor workmanship and ensure quality standards are met.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in concrete foundations, slabs, formwork, flooring and finishing.


• Previous Leading Hand or crew supervision experience.


• Ability to read and interpret construction plans.


• Full NZ driver's licence.


• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety.


• Excellent leadership and communication skills.


• Reliable, hardworking, and confident working independently.
