Job summary

Taipa Area School is seeking an outstanding Leader of Learning, Science to lead our Science Learning Area for Years 7–15. You will shape curriculum delivery, build teacher capability, and champion student achievement across the adolescent learning years.

Commencing Term 1, 2027 (or by negotiation). The role offers opportunities to work with whānau and the wider community in a picturesque Northland setting near Paradise Bay, and to lead teaching and learning in a supportive, forward-thinking kura.

Qualifications

• NCEA experience and NZ Curriculum knowledge required.
• NZ-registered/ Certificated teacher required.

We are seeking an outstanding, passionate Leader of Learning, Science, to lead our Science Learning Area and further strengthen teaching, learning, and achievement across Years 7-15. NCEA experience, with knowledge of the newly refreshed NZ Curriculum is a must. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape curriculum delivery, build teacher capability, and champion success for all students. Our kura has a genuine whānau atmosphere, providing the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with students across the school and make a lasting difference in their lives.
