Job summary

Oji Fibre Solution Nz Ltd. is seeking a Reliability Engineer Lead Plant Maintenance Uptime role based in Levin. You will coordinate vineyard teams, develop farming plans and ensure timely maintenance uptime across the plant portfolio.

You will oversee field operations, maintain grape-growing conditions, enforce safety standards and train staff in viticulture. Strong communication, teamwork and Microsoft Office proficiency are essential, along with pre-employment checks.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ work experience in a similar industry or a relevant diploma
• Excellent communication skills
• Be a team player and able to work in a multicultural context
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office
• Great head and hand knowledge of vine growing
• Able to pass pre-employment drug and Police checks

Responsibilities

• Coordinate vineyard team members for daily tasks and pass instructions to team leaders
• Develop and implement vineyard farming plan
• Screen and check documents recorded by all teams (working hours, time sheets, block sheets)
• Maintain growing conditions for grapes and facilities
• Enforce safety regulations and other duties as required by employer
• Instruct team leaders and employees to follow company policies and procedures
• Provide in-field training and impart viticulture knowledge to teams
• Conduct regular market research and plan schedules (e.g., arranging casual labour) to keep vineyard running smoothly
• Draw up notices and forms needed for induction or training in the field
• Communicate with team leaders, office staff, practice manager and director on field issues
• Collaborate with management to prepare budgets and reports
• Communicate with clients directly in written and oral form
