Job summary

Labourforce seeks an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic Foreman to lead our workshop operations with hands-on technical leadership. This role requires advanced knowledge of heavy diesel equipment and the ability to supervise, mentor and support a team of mechanics while ensuring high safety, quality and productivity.

Responsibilities include leading a team of mechanics, providing expert fault-finding guidance, diagnosing complex faults, planning daily tasks, and ensuring repairs meet manufacturer

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic with relevant certifications.
• Strong knowledge of the heavy diesel industry and machinery.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of heavy diesel mechanics and apprentices.
• Provide expert fault-finding guidance across heavy diesel equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronic faults.
• Plan and oversee daily workshop tasks and workloads.
• Ensure repairs meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
• Maintain maintenance records and reports.
• Support training and development within the team.
• Promote a safe, productive workshop environment.
