Job summary

Halter is on a mission to empower farmers with hardware, software, and AI. We seek engineers who can ship complex, reliable systems in production, write clear software, and mentor peers. You’ll work across frontend, backend, and platform stacks, embracing cloud-native patterns and real-world farm constraints.

The role emphasizes deep domain knowledge, collaboration, and the ability to operate in fast-moving environments with a strong customer focus.

Qualifications

• Experience shipping complex systems in production.
• Calm under pressure with low ego and strong collaboration.
• Product-focused mindset prioritizing customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Take on the hardest problems and ship the work that proves them out.
• Make architectural calls and back them up by writing the code.
• Set the standard for clean, observable, easy-to-evolve code and systems.
• Support and mentor other engineers through design conversations, code reviews, and context sharing.
• Help set the pace and quality bar for engineering at Halter.
• Own the reliability and performance of your domain, with on-call rotation.
• Get out on farm to develop deep domain knowledge.
