Job summary

Halter is seeking Lead Engineers who perform at the top of their craft. You’ll tackle hard problems, make critical architectural calls, and ship robust code across frontend, backend, full stack, or platform areas, using AI tools effectively.

Expect to mentor peers and shape testing, CI/CD, and infrastructure patterns on real farms. Strong AWS, Terraform experience, and a product-focused mindset are valued as you help Halter scale to capitalise on smart pasture management and live farm data.

Qualifications

• Years of shipping complex systems in production and demonstrated impact.
• Ability to make architectural calls and back them with code.
• Experience with cloud environments, AWS preferred.
• Strong product engineering mindset focused on customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Take on the hardest problems and ship work that proves them out.
• Make architectural calls and back them up with code.
• Set standards for clean, observable, evolvable systems.
• Mentor engineers through design discussions, code reviews, and context sharing.
• Own reliability and performance of your domain with end-to-end ownership.
