Job summary

Halter is building a unified platform with hardware, software and AI that serves real farms. We seek a Senior Engineer to own cloud infrastructure, developer experience, security and AI-assisted tooling.

You will shape internal AI tooling, scale our platform, and partner with backend, ML and data teams to accelerate velocity while keeping systems reliable. You’ll be responsible for end-to-end platform problems, from governance to automation, with a focus on secure, observable, and scalable

Qualifications

• Deep experience building and operating AWS at scale, with secure, observable, scalable platforms.
• Production-ready infrastructure and strong cloud security posture are required.
• Track record delivering platform or infrastructure work in high-growth environments.

Responsibilities

• Shape AI tooling adoption and evolve internal AI infrastructure used across the org.
• Build tooling, guardrails, and golden paths to accelerate safe engineering work.
• Define cloud architecture decisions balancing velocity, cost, reliability, and simplicity.
• Embed security by design with IAM, network policy, and secrets management.
• Maintain core compute/orchestration and drive observability and incident tooling.
• Automate infrastructure management via Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD.
• Mentor engineers and participate in cross-functional architecture reviews.
• Contribute to on-call rotation and incident response.
