Ryman Healthcare is recruiting a Lead Chef at Charles Upham Retirement Village in Rangiora. This full-time role (32 hours, Mon-Thu 0800-1700) leads a kitchen team to deliver nutritious, high-quality meals for residents with a focus on wellbeing and cultural diversity.

Ideal candidates have extensive Head Chef experience and hold NZQA 75/1-3 or NZ Certificate in Cookery Level 4, with a reliable, professional approach and strong hygiene practices.

Qualifications

• Extensive Head Chef experience with team leadership and kitchen operations.
• Minimum NZQA 75/1, 75/2, 75/3 or NZ Certificate in Cookery (Level 4).
• Reliable, friendly and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to ensure nutritious, high quality, well prepared, well presented food for residents.
• Prepare specialty dishes for functions and fine dining.
• Adhere to food hygiene, preparation, storage and disposal practices.
