Job summary

Backpackerboard is seeking reliable landscapers and outdoor workers to join a Wanaka crew. You’ll work outdoors across sites, dig and prepare ground, weed and clear areas, rake and shape landscapes, and assist with general landscape construction.

A 5-day week and immediate start are offered, with PPE coordination through our Queenstown team. Prior landscape experience is not required; bring you physical fitness and readiness to learn.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform manual outdoor labour in variable weather.
• Willingness to learn and follow safety instructions.
• Visit Queenstown office to collect and return PPE as needed.

Responsibilities

• Work outdoors as part of a crew across different sites in Wanaka.
• Dig and ground preparation for landscape projects.
• Weed whacking and clearing overgrown areas.
• Raking and shaping soil and surfaces.
• Wheelbarrowing materials and assisting with layout.
• General landscape construction tasks.
• Work safely around machinery and tools.

• Working safely around machinery

What you'll need:

• Keen to work 5 days a week
• Happy with physical, outdoor work
• Able to visit our Queenstown office to collect and return PPE
• Driver licence and transport preferred
