Job summary

Tradestaff New Zealand is seeking landscapers, hardscapers, softscapers, and gardeners to join our outdoor teams across Auckland. If you enjoy sun and occasional rain, and have skills in planting, mowing, hedge trimming, and basic construction, we want to hear from you.

Roles cover softscaping and hardscaping duties, including site preparation, planting, paving, decking, and drainage. Full Class 1 license is essential; WTR/Class 2 advantageous though not required.

Qualifications

• Experience in landscaping, garden maintenance, or related outdoor work.
• Can-do attitude and ability to work well in a team.
• Full Class 1 license is essential; WTR and Class 2 advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Softscaping tasks: planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and ground covers; mulching; edging; bed preparation.
• Hardscaping tasks: constructing patios, paths, walls, decking, fencing, and drainage works.
• Operate basic landscaping tools and equipment safely and efficiently.

Calling all Landscapers! Hardscapers / Softscapers / Gardeners

Love working outdoors? We’reon the hunt for keen individuals who love working in the sun (and sometimes rain).

If you've got skills in gardening / weeding / mowing / hedge trimming / spraying pesticides / spreading aggregate / mulching / planting / building decks / fencing / laying pavers / machine operatingor making concrete magic happen? Then we want to hear from you!

Sites will be Auckland wide and will not be fixed to one area

Soft Scaping / Gardening:

• Planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and ground covers
• Preparing garden beds (soil preparation, mulching, edging)
• Spreading topsoil, compost, and mulch
• Installing sod or seeding lawns
• Watering, fertilizing, and pruning plants
• Weeding and general garden maintenance
• Assisting with seasonal planting and clean-up
• Operating basic landscaping tools and equipment

Hardscaping:

• Constructing patios, pathways, retaining walls, and garden edging
• Installing paving, decking, fencing, and outdoor features
• Preparing groundworks, including excavation, leveling, and drainage
• Mixing and pouring concrete, laying bricks, stone, or blocks
• Operating power tools, machinery, and hand tools safely

You’ll need:

• Experience in any of the above
• A can-do attitude and the ability to work as part of a team
• Full Class 1 - Essential
• WTR and class 2 advantageous but not essential
