Job summary
Tiaki Wai is seeking an Engineer Land Development to help shape the Wellington region by ensuring new developments are supported by sustainable water infrastructure. You will work closely with developers, councils, consultants, and internal teams to provide expert engineering guidance that balances growth with long-term network performance.
This permanent Petone-based role offers customer-facing impact, strong collaboration, and opportunities to influence decisioning for generations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in Three Waters, Land Development or Surveying.
- Bachelor of Engineering (Civil).
- Working knowledge of the Resource Management Act and district planning procedures.
- Knowledge of Three Waters Engineering Standards and Specifications.
- Excellent communication skills and customer service ethos.
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering advice balancing growth with long-term water network performance.
- Collaborate with developers, councils, consultants and internal teams.
- Influence development decisions to deliver sustainable water infrastructure.
