We're looking for an experienced IRMS Lab Technician II to join our commercial chemistry laboratory and play a key role in delivering the isotope ratio mass spectrometry analysis that sits at the heart of Oritain's origin verification science. Working within a highly collaborative team, you'll be responsible for the preparation, processing, and analysis of samples, ensuring the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and data integrity are maintained throughout the analytical workflow.
Demonstrated experience working in an ISO 17025 accredited commercial chemistry laboratory, with hands-on responsibility for isotope ratio mass spectrometry (IRMS) workflows and instrumentation.
Proven expertise in the preparation and processing of samples for isotope analysis, including subsampling, grinding, extraction, weighing, and other preparation steps required for EA-IRMS analysis, while consistently adhering to strict laboratory protocols and quality standards.
Strong operational knowledge of elemental analyser isotope ratio mass spectrometry (EA-IRMS) systems, including routine instrument operation, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring.
Proficiency in the use of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), with the ability to accurately record, track, and manage sample data throughout the laboratory workflow.
A meticulous approach to laboratory work, with exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to producing accurate, reliable, and reproducible results.
Sound understanding of laboratory quality systems, documentation requirements, and good laboratory practices.
The ability to plan and prioritise work effectively, operate independently, and contribute positively within a fast-paced, collaborative laboratory environment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with colleagues across laboratory and operational teams to meet customer and business objectives.
