Job summary

Oritain Global Limited in Dunedin, South Island is seeking an experienced IRMS Lab Technician II to join the commercial chemistry laboratory. You will prepare, process, and analyze samples, delivering high-quality isotope ratio mass spectrometry data while upholding strict quality, accuracy, and data integrity standards.

Working within a collaborative team, you will operate EA-IRMS systems, use LIMS for data recording, and contribute to efficient workflows in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in ISO 17025 accredited commercial chemistry labs with IRMS workflows.
• Preparation and processing for isotope analysis (EA-IRMS) with strict quality adherence.
• Operational knowledge of EA-IRMS systems, routine operation and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in LIMS for data recording and tracking across workflow.
• Meticulous approach to laboratory work with focus on accuracy and reproducibility.
• Understanding of laboratory quality systems and GLP-like practices.
• Ability to plan, prioritise, work independently in a fast-paced lab.
• Strong communication with colleagues across lab and operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, process and analyze samples for isotope analysis.
• Ensure data integrity and quality across the analytical workflow.
• Operate and troubleshoot EA-IRMS instruments as required.
• Record, track and manage sample data in LIMS.
• Maintain laboratory quality systems and documentation.
• Plan and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Collaborate with lab and operations teams to meet customer objectives.
