Job summary

The Rees Hotel Queenstown invites applications for a Kitchen Porter to support our kitchen team and True South restaurant. You will help maintain immaculate hygiene, assist chefs with simple prep, and ensure smooth stock flow and organisation throughout the kitchen.

We value reliability, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to multitask in a busy environment. Availability across various shifts, including weekends and public holidays, is required.

Qualifications

• Kitchen experience is required with a focus on hygiene.
• Solid understanding of food safety and high hygiene standards.
• Strong eye for detail and accuracy in tasks.

Responsibilities

• Clean kitchen equipment, benches and prep areas to high hygiene standards.
• Assist chefs with basic food preparation as needed.
• Receive deliveries, perform stock checks and rotate stock (FIFO).
• Keep storerooms tidy and organised.
• Follow all food safety and health and safety procedures.
