Job summary

Ravenstone Homes in East Tamaki, Auckland, is seeking a hands-on cabinetry designer to take projects from initial design through to production. You will collaborate with clients, suppliers and our manufacturing team to deliver practical cabinetry solutions.

Mandarin Chinese speaking is required for this role, with a friendly, supportive team environment. You’ll have exposure to a mix of residential and commercial projects, and there is cross-over work with other businesses in the group.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a kitchen or cabinetry business.
  • Experience using design software.
  • Strong knowledge of cabinetry construction, materials and hardware.
  • Excellent communication and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate schedules with manufacturing, installers and deliveries.
  • Respond to queries and coordinate timely solutions.
  • Order cabinetry materials, hardware and components from suppliers.
  • Assist with site measurements and check dimensions prior to production.
  • Work closely with manufacturing to ensure designs can be produced efficiently and accurately.
  • Coordinate projects and help ensure they progress from design to manufacture.
  • Monitor stock levels and order materials as required.
  • Update social media and arrange advertising.

Ravenstone Homes – East Tamaki, North Island

Redstone Kitchens is a cabinetry manufacturer based in East Tamaki, Auckland. We design and manufacture quality kitchens and cabinetry for residential homes, renovations and a range of commercial projects, including childcare centres and retirement living.

About the role

This is a varied, hands-on role where you will be involved in projects from initial design through to production. You'll work closely with clients, suppliers and our manufacturing team to deliver practical, well-designed cabinetry solutions. There will be cross over work with other Businesses in the Group. Will consider Junior design applicants willing to learn and grow with the company.

Key responsibilities

Co-ordinate schedules with manufacturing, installers and deliveries

Responding to queries, and co-ordinating timely solutions

Ordering cabinetry materials, hardware and components from suppliers

Assisting with site measurements and checking dimensions prior to production

Working closely with our manufacturing team to ensure designs can be produced efficiently and accurately

Coordinating projects and helping ensure jobs progress smoothly from design through to manufacture

Monitoring stock levels and ordering materials as required

Update Social media & arrange advertising

About you

Previous experience in a kitchen, or cabinetry business

Experience using Design Software

Good knowledge of cabinetry construction, materials and hardware

Strong communication and customer service skills

The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

A practical approach to design and an understanding of how cabinetry is manufactured and installed

Mandarin Chinese speaking is required for this particular role
