Job summary

Beaver Kitchens in Whakatāne is seeking a hands-on workshop assistant to manufacture, assemble and install bespoke kitchens. You will cut, machine and prepare cabinetry components, read plans and measurements, and ensure quality throughout the process.

The role involves helping manage projects from cutting lists to installation, working with an experienced team to deliver high-quality results in a small, close-knit workshop environment.

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing, assembling & installation of kitchens and cabinetry
• Cutting, machining and preparing cabinetry components
• Reading plans, measurements and specifications
• Checking measurements and quality throughout the process
• Preparing completed cabinetry for installation
• Helping keep jobs flowing smoothly through the workshop
• Looking after tools, machinery and your work area
• Learning the finer details of producing bespoke, high-quality kitchens
• Based on experience, managing your own project from cutting list to installation

This is a varied, hands on role working alongside an experienced and award winning kitchen designer and manufacturing team. You'll have the opportunity to understand the entire process, from design and material selection through to manufacturing and installation.
