Qualifications

  • Desirable food service experience.
  • Desirable food hygiene certificate.
  • Effective communicator with a positive, problem-solving attitude.
  • Physically fit: able to lift 10kg, stand/walk for shifts, squat/kneel.
  • Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and ability to engage with Māori.

Responsibilities

  • Serve nutritious, well-portioned dinner meals meeting patient dietary needs.
  • Work with cooks and kitchen staff to deliver meals accurately and on time.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness: wash dishes, sanitise equipment, follow food safety protocols.

About you

As a Kitchen Assistant you will:

  • Have food service experience (desirable)
