Job summary

Heritage Lifecare is seeking a Kitchen Assistant for Stillwater Lifecare & Village in Nelson to prepare hearty meals and support a caring kitchen environment. This part-time role (21 hours per week) includes AM shifts, with a focus on quality dining for residents and teamwork with the care staff.

You will help provide nutritious meals, accommodate individual dietary needs, and contribute to a friendly, efficient kitchen operation. Join a supportive team dedicated to resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in catering and food service, ideally in a commercial kitchen.

As a Kitchen Assistant at Stillwater Lifecare, you will be responsible for helping to provide hearty nutritious meals for our residents, ensuring any individual food requirements are met. You will need to be reliable and eager to lend a hand.

Your Skills And Experience

• Proven experience in catering and food service, ideally working in a commercia kitchen (however on the job training will be given).
• A passion for creating good food and providing an exceptional dining experience.
• Good communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
• A genuine love for helping people, with excellent customer service skills, and a friendly and positive attitude.
• Experience delivering to a quality standard.
