Job summary

Oceania Group in Nelson is seeking a casual Kitchen Assistant to join the Green Gables Village team. You’ll help with meal preparation, dine service for residents, and maintain a clean, efficient kitchen.

You’ll need experience in a similar role, a passion for great-tasting food, and a customer-focused approach. This role suits multitaskers with good communication and the ability to work rostered shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar kitchen role or environment.
• Demonstrated passion for preparing food that looks and tastes great.
• Proven ability to deliver high levels of customer service in a fast-paced setting.
• Comfortable multitasking and managing time effectively.
• Strong team player with good communication skills.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow set cleaning procedures and standards.
• Willingness to work rostered shifts and adapt to scheduling.

Our Green Gables Village in Nelson are looking for a casual Kitchen Assistant to join their dedicated team.

What you’ll be doing:

• Assisting with meal preparation and general kitchen duties in a fast-paced kitchen.

• Assisting the healthcare team in serving our residents

• Delivering top class customer service to a high standard and quality

• Constantly learning and developing your skills/knowledge.
