Job summary

Arvida Group Limited is seeking a friendly Kitchen Assistant to join its kitchen team in Tauranga. You will support the Head Chef with meal preparation, assemble ingredients, bake, cook, toast and heat food items while ensuring the kitchen and scullery are clean and safe.

This role offers a fixed roster and the chance to contribute to a resident-led wellness environment. Applicants should have experience in a commercial kitchen, show initiative, maintain high hygiene standards, and work well

Qualifications

• Experience in a commercial kitchen or similar environment.
• Able to take initiative and be flexible.
• Excellent hygiene and health and safety standards.
• Able to work closely with and support colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Deliver efficient food service to residents.
• Assist Head Chef/Kitchen Manager with kitchen prep and cooking tasks.
• Maintain clean, tidy and safe kitchen and scullery areas.
