Job summary

Arvida in New Zealand is seeking a friendly Kitchen Assistant to join our Kitchen team. You will support the Head Chef with meal preparation, assembling ingredients, baking, and heating items while delivering great service to residents.

You will keep the kitchen and scullery clean and safe, follow health and safety practices, and work as part of a supportive team with a fixed roster and opportunities for development.

Qualifications

• Experience in a commercial kitchen or similar environment.
• Demonstrates hygiene and safety standards.
• Able to support colleagues and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support Head Chef with meal preparation and ingredient assembly.
• Assist in baking, cooking, toasting and heating food items.
• Keep kitchen and scullery areas clean, tidy and safe.

We're looking for a friendly and flexible assistant to join our fantastic Kitchen team.

The Kitchen Assistant is responsible for delivering efficient food service to our residents and providing a high level of customer service.

You will support the Head Chef / Kitchen Manager through kitchen and meal preparation including assembling and preparing ingredients, baking, cooking, toasting, and heating food items. You will also be responsible for keeping the kitchen and scullery areas clean, tidy, and safe.
