Job summary

Compass Group New Zealand is seeking five enthusiastic Casual Kitchen Assistants to join the Waitakere Hospital team in Henderson. Shifts are offered on an as-and-when-required basis, rostered across seven days to support patient meals and service.

You will provide warm, professional service, assist with trayline and meal delivery, prepare and present food, wash dishes, maintain clean areas, and follow food safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen experience or similar role.
• Food safety certificate or willingness to obtain one.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, friendly and professional service to patients and customers.
• Assist with trayline service and deliver meals and special food requests.
• Prepare, portion and present food according to site requirements.
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, crockery and kitchen equipment.
