Bupa is seeking a Kitchen Assistant in Hamilton to support day-to-day kitchen operations. You will prepare and bake food according to recipes, maintain high food presentation standards, and help ensure smooth meal delivery for residents.

Hours & Roster Details:

• Employment Type: Permanent Part-Time
• Hours: Average 16 hours/week/ 98 hours/6 weeks roster period
• Shift Time: 10.30am – 6pm
• Roster Pattern: 2 days on, 4 days off (6-weekly rotating roster across Monday - Sunday)

Located in Enderley, Hamilton, just minutes from the Waikato River, Bupa Rossendale Care Homeoffers Rest Home, Hospital, and Specialist Dementia (Psychogeriatric) Care.

As a Kitchen Assistantyou will:

• Assist with food preparation
• Undertake General kitchen duties (dishwashing and cleaning)
• Work independently and collaboratively as part of a busy kitchen team
• Adhere to Hygiene and food safety standards
• Maintain confidentiality
• Follow Health and Safety procedures

What you’ll needto make it possible

• Preferably 1 year experience in a similar role, but full training and development will be provided
• Have experience following established recipes and preparing food to a high standard.
• Be a proactive team player who can work independently and pitch in where needed
• Possess strong attention to detail and commitment to quality presentation
• Excellent time management & communication skills, following instruction accurately
• Empathetic, enthusiastic, and passionate about making a positive difference for residents
• Available to work rotating rostered shifts, including weekends
• Reliable transport and travel arrangements
• Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand
