Bupa's Te Rapa Foxbridge Care Home is seeking a Wellbeing Support Assistant to help keep residents' homes clean, safe, and comfortable. You’ll support daily living tasks, assist with laundry, meals delivery, and medication reminders while maintaining high hygiene standards.

This part-time role offers a Monday–Friday roster, ~30 hours per week, with varying start times as the role evolves. You’ll join a supportive team dedicated to resident independence and dignity.

Qualificações

• Experience in an aged care environment or disability support is desirable.
• 2+ years in customer service or support roles such as hospitality or housekeeping.
• First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).

Responsabilidades

• Provide effective, efficient weekly cleaning of residents' apartments to a high standard.
• Complete daily cleaning tasks for community areas as scheduled.
• Provide daily bed making and weekly bed changing services.
• Collect and return residents' laundry promptly.
• Provide reminders, assist with medications and filling prescriptions.
• Assist with dressing, personal hygiene, and meal deliveries.
• Offer additional general services to residents, such as companionship.
• Report faults or supply needs to the manager and manage supplies economically.

• Hours: Average 30 hours per week
• Shift Time: Monday to Friday- 8:30am – 3pm. Start time may vary as the role grows and changes.

Located in Te Rapa, Foxbridge Care Home

is a modern, purpose-built care home with beautiful views of the racecourse and surrounding park. It provides Rest Home, Hospital, Dementia Care, and Care Suites.

As a Wellbeing Support Assistant, you’ll work alongside a supportive team to:

• Provide effective, efficient, and hygienic weekly cleaning of each resident’s apartment to a high standard
• Complete all daily cleaning tasks for community areas as scheduled
• Provide daily bed making service to residents and weekly bed changing services
• Ensure care is taken with collecting and returning residents' laundry in a timely manner
• Provide reminders and ensure medications are taken, and support with filling prescriptions
• Assist with dressing and undressing, personal hygiene supervision, and meal deliveries
• Provide any other general services our residents subscribe to, such as companion time
• Report to the manager any faults, issues, or when supplies need replacement in residents’ homes and community areas
• Manage supplies economically and avoid wastage
• Adhere to Health & Safety policies, procedures, and safe chemical use and storage
• Treat residents with respect and dignity

What you’ll need to make it possible

• Previous experience in an aged care environment, disability support, or community services (desirable)
• Ideal work experience of 2+ years in a customer service or support role such as hospitality, housekeeping, or home-based care
• First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• Living locally in Hamilton
• Take pride in providing high-quality household services that help residents live comfortably and safely
• Acknowledge and accept each village resident as an individual and actively encourage residents to be independent
• Always respect the confidentiality and privacy of village residents and actively communicate and listen respectfully to residents
• Show an ability to work well individually and with a team
• Demonstrate enthusiasm, care, and passion for making a difference in our residents’ lives
• Reliable transport or travel arrangements
• Hold legal entitlement to work in New Zealand
