Bupa Care Services NZ Limited is seeking a casual Cook for Bupa Ballarat Care Home in Rangiora, just north of Christchurch. You’ll plan menus, prepare meals, cater special events, and manage supplies, while upholding hygiene and safety standards to support our aged care residents.

Qualified with an NZQA-recognised culinary qualification (or equivalent) and at least 1 year of cooking experience, you’ll be reliable, adaptable and able to travel to the workplace.

The purpose of this job

Bupa Ballarat Care Home is located on the western edge of Rangiora, just north of Christchurch. It provides rest home, hospital, and dementia care within a modern, purpose-built environment.

As a Cook, while adhering to food Hygiene and Safety you will make an impact on:

• Menu planning and implementation
• Food preparation
• Special event catering
• Ordering and monitoring supplies

What you’ll need to make it possible

• Qualified Cook/Chef with an NZQA-recognised culinary qualification (or equivalent) and at least 1 year of cooking experience
• Hands-on, proactive attitude with the flexibility to support all aspects of kitchen operations when needed
• Dedicated to delivering high-quality meals for our aged care residents
• Ensure resident confidentiality
• Reliable transport/ ability to travel to and from the workplace consistently
• Applicants must be legally eligible to work in New Zealand.
