Job summary

Arvida Group Limited is seeking a cafe team member to manage front-of-house service and support kitchen operations within our high-end cafe environment for residents in our care communities.

You will bake, prep and serve cabinet items, ensure great customer experiences, handle cash, and maintain hygiene standards across shifts, with ongoing training and a supportive team environment.

• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or cafe.
• Exceptional cooking and baking skills.
• Excellent food hygiene practices and commitment to safe working practices.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Flexibility and ability to work under pressure with good time management.

Mō te tūranga | About the opportunity

Duties are varied, active, and stimulating with lots of personal interaction. You will ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Cafe service, maintain compliance with our Food Control Plan. You will thrive in a beautiful high end cafe environment, and enjoy enriching the lives of our residents. You'll also be responsible for:

• Ensuring all customers have a great experience
• FOH service and cash handling
• Baking, prepping and serving cabinet food
• Ordering supplies as required
• Set up and pack down each shift
• Maintaining our cafe cleaning, safety, and hygiene standards
