Qualifications

  • Experience in fundraising, philanthropy, donor engagement, partnerships, communications or a related field.
  • Experience and success in developing and delivering fundraising initiatives and contributing to income growth.
  • Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling donor communications, funding applications and reports.
  • Strong relationship management skills and the ability to engage confidently with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently and deliver high-quality results.
  • Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience using CRM systems and maintaining accurate records, reporting and supporter information.

About the role

DCM (Downtown Community Ministry) is a trusted, values-led organisation and Wellington's leading social service focused on supporting people experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness to reach their housing and social aspirations. As a member of the Pūrongo Kāhui (Fundraising, Marketing & communications Team), you'll play an important role in growing and diversifying fundraising income while strengthening relationships with donors, funders and supporters. This is a varied role, providing the opportunity to utilise and build on your broad fundraising experience across grants and trusts, donor engagement, supporter communications, fundraising campaigns, stewardship and fundraising data. You'll work across a range of initiatives, with plenty of opportunity to develop your skills and make a meaningful contribution to DCM's fundraising growth.
