Ngā Taiātea Wharekura invites applications for a kaiako to lead Kaipakihi, commencing Term 1, 2027. You will bring strong Kaipakihi teaching expertise and a genuine commitment to kaupapa Māori.

Experience with NCEA is essential and you will work closely with uri, whānau and kaiako to raise achievement and support Māori students in a kaupapa-driven kura.

Responsabilidades

• Lead Kaipakihi teaching and programme delivery at the kura.
• Collaborate with kaiako to design culturally responsive learning.
• Support Māori students to reach their potential within NCEA pathways.
• Engage with uri, whānau and the kura whānau to promote achievement.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic and kaupapa-driven kaiako to lead Kaipakihi at our kura, commencing Term 1, 2027.

Experience teaching NCEA is essential.

The ideal candidate will bring:

• Strong content knowledge and teaching experience in Kaipakihi.
• A genuine ngākau Māori and experience teaching and supporting Māori students.
• A strong commitment to kaupapa Māori and the aspirations of our kura, uri and whānau.
• Excellent teaching practice and the ability to create engaging learning experiences.
• A strong commitment to raising student achievement and ensuring all uri experience success.
• High expectations for all uri.
• Strong relationship-building skills with uri, whānau and kaimahi.
• Flexibility and adaptability in a kura environment.
• A strong work ethic and willingness to contribute positively to the wider life of the kura.
