We are seeking a kaiako for a permanent position in a senior team, English medium classroom. This will likely be Years and 5 in 2027.
We are a flourishing school of around 325 tamariki in beautiful Ruakākā. We have approximately 100 tamariki in our Māori immersion unit and 225 in English medium. Our staff are fun, friendly and supportive and jobs at our kura are highly sought after. Ruakākā School is situated in Bream Bay within the rohe of Patuharakeke. We work hard to enact Te Tiriti o Waitangi, we expect our kaiako to be on a Reo Māori journey and to support tamariki in their class to do the same.
We are a kura with a PB4L background currently focusing on Trauma awareness, Restorative Practice and Mana Potential. Inclusivity is one of our SHINE values which are at the heart of everything we do. We are a Green/Gold Enviroschool and we actively collaborate with other kura in the Bream Bay area.
