Job summary

Waihi Beach School in Waikato is seeking a Certificated teacher for a full-time, fixed-term role starting 28 January 2027 and ending 17 December 2027 (maternity leave). You will teach across Year 1–8 in a collaborative, community-focused environment aligned with the NZ Curriculum.

You will thrive on accelerating learner outcomes, integrating te reo Māori and tikanga, personalising learning, and building strong partnerships with whānau.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current NZ teaching certificate.
• Experience with NZ Curriculum and student-centred pedagogy.
• Proven ability to accelerate student achievement in Years 1–8.
• Experience working with whānau and in collaborative teams.
