Job summary

Learning Curves Montessori Lincoln invites a warm, passionate kaiako to join our toddler room, caring for tamariki aged 18 months to 2.5 years. You will nurture independence, confidence and language development in a calm, unhurried setting.

Applicants must be currently living in New Zealand, with a mindset aligned to Montessori approaches. We offer supportive leadership, a collaborative team, and ongoing professional growth within a welcoming Learning Curves whānau.

Learning Curves Montessori is looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and nurturing kaiako to join our team in a full-time position.

This position is within one of our toddler rooms, working with tamariki aged approximately 18 months to 2.5 years.

This is such a special stage of development, where our tamariki are building their independence, confidence, communication and sense of belonging. We are looking for a kaiako who understands the importance of creating a calm, engaging and responsive environment where each child is supported to learn, explore and develop at their own pace.

We are looking for a kaiako who:
  • Is warm, nurturing and genuinely passionate about working with toddlers
  • Understands the unique developmental needs of children aged 18 months–2.5 years
  • Encourages independence, confidence and curiosity through meaningful learning experiences
  • Is confident supporting children's social and emotional development
  • Values respectful, responsive and unhurried care practices
  • Is a positive and supportive team member
  • Has an understanding of or knows about the Montessori philosophy
  • Are currently living in New Zealand
