Job summary

Learning Curves Montessori Nursery Ltd in St Albans, New Zealand, is seeking a passionate full-time Kaiako to join our nurturing team. The nursery, licensed for 18 infants, operates with a calm, respectful environment and follows the RIE approach to support infants to develop at their own pace with unhurried care.

The successful candidate will be warm, reliable and capable of building strong relationships with tamariki and whānau.

Learning Curves Montessori is looking for a passionate and nurturing Kaiako to join our team in a full-time position.

The position is at our Nursery in St Albans; a beautiful old villa, created and licensed for just 18 0- to 2-year-olds.

Our Nursery is a calm, nurturing environment where strong, respectful relationships are at the heart of everything we do. The room practices primary caregiving and follows the RIE (Resources for Infant Educarers) approach, supporting our infants to develop at their own pace through respectful, responsive and unhurried care.

We are looking for a kaiako who:

  • is warm, nurturing and genuinely passionate about working with infants
  • values strong, secure relationships with tamariki and whānau
  • understands, or is interested in developing their knowledge of, primary caregiving and RIE
  • values respectful and responsive care practices
  • is a positive and supportive team member
  • is reliable, professional and communicates well.
