Job summary

ERoad Ltd is seeking a Security Analyst to safeguard data, systems, and services within the Information Security team. You will monitor security activity, assist investigations with the CISO, and contribute to improving the security posture across cloud and on-premises environments.

The role emphasizes automation, AI-enabled tooling, and clear documentation, with opportunities to learn from a small, focused security team across NZ, Australia, and North America.

Qualifications

• Hands-on security analyst experience or similar
• Experience with automation using Python
• Understanding of Windows and Linux
• Experience with at least one public cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Familiarity with security frameworks
• Exposure to XDR, vulnerability scanning or CNAPP tools
• Strong documentation and attention to detail
• Collaborative with clear communication
• Demonstrated cybersecurity interest through projects or self-study
• Interest in using AI tools to enhance workflows
• Security+ / SSCP / CISSP is a bonus as is pursuing one

Responsibilities

• Monitor and review security activity across the business and flag issues early
• Support investigations and response activities with the CISO and Information Security team
• Contribute ideas to improve EROAD's security posture
• Help assess and strengthen cloud environments, endpoints and infrastructure
• Use automation and AI tools to streamline monitoring and reporting
• Maintain clear documentation of findings, actions and improvements
