Job summary

Jora New Zealand is seeking a Graduate or Junior Project Engineer to join our team in East Auckland. You’ll support a strong pipeline of electrical-for-mechanical and electrical-for-refrigeration projects across Auckland and New Zealand, working with our Project Management team and gaining exposure to tender, design, procurement, construction and handover.

• Tertiary qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and practical approach.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to learn and take ownership of tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with CAD and Revit-based drawings for tendered and live projects.
• Support Project Managers with engineering analysis and technical documentation.
• Assist with electrical design across mechanical and refrigeration projects.
• Help develop practical engineering solutions to support project delivery.
• Assist with tenders and cost estimates, including material take-offs.
• Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure safe, quality delivery.
• Support projects through full lifecycle from scope to handover.
• Build strong working relationships through effective communication.
