KPMG New Zealand is growing its Private Enterprise team and inviting a Junior Accountant who will develop from day one while you study toward becoming a Chartered Accountant.

This role focuses on hands-on experience with SMEs and provides a long-term, supported pathway, including data entry, preparing accounts, and tax work, all while balancing part-time study and advancing your professional qualifications.

Qualifications

• A recent high school graduate or first-year student pursuing Accounting at a university or through CAANZ CA Fundamentals pathway.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Private Enterprise compliance team to support SMEs in meeting their goals.
• Assist in preparing annual accounts and tax returns, or monthly management work, focusing on smaller clients.
• Respond to client queries and support the team in managing client relationships regarding income tax, GST, and indirect taxes.
