Job summary

JobSpace in Christchurch is seeking an experienced Joiner to join a well-established joinery team, turning drawings into finished cabinetry and fit-outs. You will work from plans, measure and cut materials, and operate woodworking machinery with safety and precision.

Strong attention to detail and a reliable, punctual approach are essential. Applicants should have a joinery qualification or solid hands-on trade experience and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Qualifications

• Joinery qualification or solid hands-on experience in the trade.
• Confident reading plans, drawings and specifications.
• Experience on woodworking machinery and general trade tools.
• Sharp eye for detail and pride in workmanship.
• Reliable, on time, and consistent with standards.
• Full driver's licence and own transport preferred.
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Building and assembling custom cabinetry, joinery and fit-out components.
• Working from technical drawings, plans and cutting schedules.
• Measuring, cutting and preparing timber, laminates and sheet materials.
• Running woodworking machinery, hand tools and power tools safely.

The work

• Building and assembling custom cabinetry, joinery and fit-out components
