Job summary

Tradestaff New Zealand is seeking an experienced Joiner for projects across Wanaka and Cromwell. This role balances workshop craftsmanship with on-site fitting, taking plans from drawings to high-quality finished joinery.

You will build bespoke cabinetry and detailed joinery, interpret specs, machine timber, and ensure precise finishing with coordination across trades. Immediate start with weekly pay in Wanaka and Cromwell areas.

Qualifications

• Must have a recognised joinery qualification with solid industry experience.
• Proven ability to produce cabinetry and detailed joinery.
• Strong craftsmanship with high accuracy and finishing skills.
• Confident interpreting drawings, measurements, and project specifications.

Responsibilities

• Build bespoke cabinetry, fixtures, and detailed joinery for a range of projects.
• Work from drawings, measurements, and specifications to achieve precise results.

• Assemble cabinets and joinery components ready for finishing or installation.
• Complete detailed finishing, adjustments, and final quality checks.
• Install cabinetry, fittings, hardware, and finished joinery on site.

Joiner

Tradestaff is looking for an experienced and qualified Joiner for projects across Wanaka and Cromwell. We're looking for a skilled craftsperson who enjoys detailed work, can turn plans into quality finished pieces, and is equally comfortable in the workshop and completing final fit-outs on site.

Location: Wanaka / Cromwell, Otago

Start date: Immediate start

Pay rate: $32-$38 per hour + weekly pay

What You'll Be Doing

• Build bespoke cabinetry, fixtures, and detailed joinery for a range of projects
• Work from drawings, measurements, and specifications to achieve precise results
• Prepare and machine timber, panels, and other materials for production
• Assemble cabinets and joinery components ready for finishing or installation
• Complete detailed finishing, adjustments, and final quality checks
• Install cabinetry, fittings, hardware, and finished joinery on site
• Coordinate with other trades to ensure accurate placement and a professional finish

• Competent with joinery machinery, power tools, and workshop equipment
• Comfortable completing site installations and solving practical fit-out challenges
• Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to manage your work to a high standard
