Job summary

Rocket Lab in Auckland Production Complex seeks an IT Support Specialist to maintain daily IT operations and ensure seamless access to information for global teams. You will support staff, troubleshoot devices, and help onboard new hires to maximize productivity from day one.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years in IT support, strong desktop and network fundamentals, and a customer-focused approach. The role may involve shift flexibility and occasional travel to support IT initiatives.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in IT support and high school diploma.
• Exposure with most and solid operational experience in at least two of the following: Windows or Linux desktop OS (imaging, maintenance, troubleshooting); PC hardware (assembly/disassembly); understanding of networking (TCP/IP/DNS); a scripting language; Active Directory and Group Policy.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day IT support and service by interacting positively with staff and resolving inquiries.
• Track and update support desk tickets (Incidents, Requests, Problems, Changes) and document work.
• Be the onboarding point of contact to ensure new hires are setup and productive from day one.
• Participate in continuous improvement of IT services, systems, and processes.
• Occasional domestic travel may be required.
• Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends; participate in on-call rotation as needed.
