Job summary

EIL Global in Dunedin, NZ is seeking an experienced Desktop Support Engineer (FTE) to join our on-site IT support team. You will troubleshoot hardware and software, perform OS deployment, imaging, and basic network tasks to keep desktops and peripherals running smoothly.

You will work with enterprise clients, document resolutions, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure high service standards and quick incident resolution.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in IT support, desktop support, or field services.
• Strong hands-on experience in desktop hardware and software troubleshooting.
• Good understanding of networking concepts (LAN/WAN, routers, switches).
• Experience with operating system deployment, imaging, and break-fix support.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite desktop support and troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
• Perform Windows operating system installations, upgrades, and re-imaging.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
• Perform basic network troubleshooting in LAN/WAN environments.

• Respond to service requests promptly while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
• Document all support activities, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions accurately.
