Qualifications

• 4+ years in IT support, desktop support or field services.
• Strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
• Solid understanding of LAN/WAN, routers and switches.
• Experience with OS deployment and imaging.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite desktop support and resolve hardware/software issues.
• Install, upgrade and image Windows OS as required.
• Triage and resolve issues with desktops, laptops, printers and peripherals.
• Perform basic network troubleshooting in LAN/WAN environments.
• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth service delivery.

We are currently looking for experienced Desktop Support Engineer - (FTE position) - Dunedin, New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide onsite desktop support and troubleshoot hardware and software issues.


• Perform Windows operating system installations, upgrades, and re-imaging.


• Diagnose and resolve issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.


• Perform basic network troubleshooting in LAN/WAN environments.


• Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, and other network devices.


• Respond to service requests promptly while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.


• Document all support activities, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions accurately.


• Collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders to ensure smooth service delivery.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience in IT support, desktop support, or field services.


• Strong hands-on experience in desktop hardware and software troubleshooting.


• Good understanding of networking concepts, including LAN, WAN, routers, and switches.


• Experience with operating system deployment, imaging, and break-fix support.


• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
