Job summary

Think Water Marlborough is seeking an irrigation design professional who can combine technical design knowledge with sales to deliver sound water systems. You will work with the Operations manager and a capable team to ensure projects are designed and sold, with the project execution taken care of by the team.

The role is open to designers with years of irrigation design experience or a water engineer with hydraulic and pump knowledge who wants a career in design.

Qualifications

• Experience in vineyard and stock water systems.
• Pumping knowledge, specification and assessment of pumps.
• Excellent relationship management experience and the ability to sell an idea.
• Proven experience in problem solving, strategic thinking and planning.
• Sound business acumen and communication skills.
• Well organised with good time management.
• Down to earth with strong relationship management skills.

The person in this role will work closely with the Operations manager and backed by a competent well functioning team to allow the successful candidate to concentrate on designing and selling systems, knowing the project will be taken care of. This role will require a combination of technical design knowledge and sales. The opportunity is open to a designer with a number of years of irrigation design experience or a water engineer supported by a sound base level of hydraulic and pump knowledge aspiring to have a career in design.

• Familiar with and experience using designs programs Irricad and Autocad
• Pumping knowledge, Specification and assessment of pumps
• Excellent relationship management experience and the ability to sell an idea
• Proven experience in problem solving, strategic thinking and planning
• Sound business acumen and communication skills
• Well organised and have good time management
• Down to earth and strong relationship management skills
• Ability to listen to and understand a customers needs
