Job summary

PlaceMakers Christchurch in Napier is seeking an organised Inventory Clerk to accurately check and receipting inwards goods, while assisting customers at the counter and keeping shelves stocked. You will use our internal systems to log deliveries, run cycle counts and resolve stock discrepancies.

The role is full-time, Monday to Friday with Saturday rosters, and requires a driver license. Prior experience in inventory or inwards goods and familiarity with ACE software are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Inventory or Inwards Goods.
• Computer and numeracy knowledge with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines while staying calm under pressure.
• Strong social skills and rapport-building across diverse groups.
• Ability to work autonomously within a cohesive team.
• Knowledge of the building industry is a plus but not essential.
• Full driver’s license is required; forklift experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Check and receipting of goods in the inwards area using internal systems.
• Assist on the counter with customers and provide product advice.
• Cycle counting to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Log deliveries and manage stock discrepancies promptly.
• Process product returns, repairs and warranty claims.
• Assist in yard and showroom when needed.
