Job summary

Mitre 10 MEGA Queenstown is seeking an Inwards Goods Assistant to support our warehouse operations. You will receive stock from suppliers, verify quantities, and record items in our computerised inventory system, helping stock flow to shelves in a timely way.

The role is a fixed-term, Monday–Friday, up to 40 hours per week, from September to March 2027. A physical, hands-on position requiring teamwork, attention to detail, planning and clear communication.

Qualifications

• Previous warehousing or inventory management experience is advantageous.
• Physical role with lifting and prolonged standing.
• Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing required.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming stock from suppliers and check it off.
• Enter stock into computerised inventory system accurately.
• Ensure stock moves to shelves to satisfy customer demand.

Reporting to the Inwards/Warehouse Manager you willberesponsible forreceiving incoming stock from our suppliers. This involvesensuring stock is checked off andentered intoour computerisedinventory system, and that stock flows through the business to reach theshelvesin a timely mannerto satisfy customer demand.

This is afixed-termrole, working Mondayto Friday roster and up to 40 hours per weekfromthe beginning ofSeptember to the end of March 2027.

It'sa physical, hands-on role in a busy area of thebusiness. Accuracy, attention to detail, planning, organisation,andcommunication are all vital skills for this role.Previousexperiencein warehousing and/or inventory management would beadvantageous.

• Ability to work as partof a team andindependently
• Accurate handling andcomputer processing of all incoming stock
• Assistingwithstock movements/unloading
• Physically fit – asthere will be heaving lifting, prolonged standing, lifting, and ladder use
