Job summary

Mitre 10 Cambridge is seeking a positive Trade Team Member to deliver outstanding service to our Trade and DIY customers. You will pick orders, operate a forklift, load orders and prepare yard dockets, across the yard, store, and drive-thru.

Health and safety are central to the role, with training provided for building materials knowledge. The role is 27 hours per week on a fixed term basis for 6 months, with rostered Sunday, Monday and Tuesday shifts and potential for full-time after the term.

• Preferred background in building supplies or timber; full training provided.

• Physically fit, able to lift heavy weights and stand for long periods.
• Basic computer knowledge and attention to detail.

• Holds a valid and current full NZ Driver's Licence.
• Holds a current forklift OSH certificate and F endorsement.

Cambridge Mitre 10 Mega is proud to be 100% Kiwiowned and operated. We are looking to boost our Trade Team and seeking a positive and enthusiastic Trade Team Member who recognises the importance of providing outstanding customer service to our Trade and DIY customers.

Reporting to the Trade Manager, you will be working with trade and retail customers to fulfil their building material orders. This will involve picking orders, using a forklift, loading customer orders, and writing up yard dockets.

This is a physical role which covers our outside yard, retail store and drive thru. You will need to provide excellent customer service, helping to solve their issues and provide the best advice on the use of building materials. You will keep a focus on health and safety, ensuring company health and safety procedures are followed at all times.

We are looking for someone who:

• Preferably has a background in the building supplies/ timber business, however full training will be provided.
• Has the willingness to learn and a drive to achieve
• Honesty, integrity and a commitment to deliver what you promise.
• A friendly, energetic and positive personality
• Is physically fit, able to lift heavy weights and able to be on their feet the majority of the day
• Basic computer knowledge and attention to detail
• Has an outstanding work ethic & is a team player

• Holds a current forklift OSH certificate and F endorsement

This is a minimum 27 hour a week FIXED TERM for 6 months role across Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. Hours will be determined by a roster and will include public holidays. With the possible opportunity of a Full-time position following fixed term contract.
