Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Supply Chain Analyst to optimize FMCG inventory within the Queenstown/Eastern Cape region. You will analyze inventory, identify trends, and develop strategies to minimize stockouts while reducing excess inventory costs.

You will build and monitor KPIs, forecast demand, and collaborate with procurement and logistics to ensure timely replenishment. Proficiency in Excel, SQL, Power BI, and Tableau is valued, along with a relevant quantitative degree and 1–3 years of

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Supply Chain, Logistics, IE, Statistics)
• 1–3 years in supply chain analysis, inventory management, or FMCG
• Strong Excel skills with pivot tables and VLOOKUP; SQL/Power BI/Tableau a plus

Responsibilities

• Analyze inventory data across multiple locations in the Eastern Cape to identify patterns and risks
• Develop and implement inventory optimization strategies to improve stock availability and reduce costs
• Monitor inventory, forecast demand, and coordinate with procurement and logistics for timely replenishment
• Identify root causes of inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions
• Develop and maintain KPIs such as turnover, stockouts, and carrying costs
• Use data analysis tools to provide insights and recommendations for SCM improvements
• Support development of inventory management systems and processes
• Collaborate with sales, operations, and finance to align inventory strategies
• Prepare regular reports on inventory performance and present findings to management
• Assist in development of supply chain models and scenario planning
