Placements24 is seeking a Logistics and Supply Chain Analyst in Queenstown to drive data-driven decisions across the transport, inventory, and planning functions. You will build dashboards, monitor KPIs, and provide actionable insights to improve service levels and lower costs.

The role requires 4+ years in logistics analytics, proficiency in SQL and advanced Excel, and experience with WMS/TMS systems. Collaboration with multiple teams and effective communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, or related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in logistics, supply chain analysis, or operations research.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in SQL, Excel (advanced), and data visualization software (Tableau, Power BI).
• Experience with statistical modeling and forecasting techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
• Familiarity with WMS and TMS systems.
• Able to work independently and in teams.
• Lean principles knowledge is a plus.
• Knowledge of the South African logistics landscape is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and interpret data from supply chain and logistics systems (WMS, TMS, ERP).
• Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to track logistics KPIs.
• Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Conduct root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with operations, procurement, and sales to gather data.
• Develop predictive models for demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and route planning.
• Evaluate carrier and partner performance.
• Present findings and strategic recommendations to senior management.
• Ensure data integrity through rigorous validation processes.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and technologies.
