Job summary

Evolution Healthcare's Royston Hospital is seeking aLoan Equipment Assistant to support the Theatre Department by coordinating loan sets, implants, and instruments for scheduled procedures. You will work closely with the Theatre Services Manager, clinical teams and suppliers to ensure all equipment is ready and properly documented.

The role requires strong organisational skills, meticulous record-keeping, and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Highly organised and detail‑oriented in a fast paced hospital environment.
• Experience in healthcare, logistics, administration, or similar coordination role is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating the dispatch, receival, tracking, and documentation of loan sets and equipment.
• Liaising with suppliers and external companies regarding loan equipment and prosthesis requirements for upcoming theatre lists.
• Maintaining accurate electronic records and databases, ensuring information is up to date and readily available.
• Monitoring long‑term loan equipment and prosthesis, including stock levels and expiry dates.
• Tracking instruments and equipment sent for repair and maintenance and ensuring timely return.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives, audits, and quality activities within the department.
• Working collaboratively with theatre staff and other hospital departments to ensure surgical lists run efficiently and without delay.
