Job summary

Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Capital, Coast & Hutt Valley is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Interventional Radiology Unit in Wellington. The role is Permanent Part-Time 0.6 FTE with rostered and rotating shifts, centred in a dynamic radiology ward providing peri-procedural care for minimally invasive procedures.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year's post-registration experience in an acute setting, preferably with Interventional Radiology/Cath Lab, Cardiac or Surgical nursing.
• Energetic, positive and highly motivated with ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Expert preparation: ensuring patients are clinically and psychologically ready for procedures.
• Acute post-procedural care: closely monitoring recovery for patient safety and comfort.
• Safe discharge: ensuring safe transition at the end of observation.
• Support procedural nursing: assist during imaging procedures, monitor sedation, maintain safe environment under medical supervision.
