Job summary

Vulcan Steel Limited is seeking an internal sales support specialist based in Onehunga, Auckland. The role combines customer-facing sales support with hands-on warehouse tasks in a full-time permanent position.

You will handle inquiries, prepare quotes, process orders, and manage stock availability while building strong relationships with customers and internal teams. The role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and safe warehousing practices.

Qualifications

• Internal sales or customer service experience.
• Warehousing, dispatch or inventory control experience is an advantage.
• Fork hoist licence is an advantage.
• Intermediate computer literacy with ERP systems, Outlook and Excel.
• Physically fit to perform manual handling and warehouse tasks.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound customer enquiries by phone, email, and in person.
• Prepare quotes, process sales orders, and confirm stock availability.
• Build strong customer relationships through responsive internal sales support.
• Respond to internal enquiries regarding stock availability and pricing.
• Pick, pack, and dispatch customer orders accurately.
• Receipt and process incoming stock; maintain inventory records and cycle counts.

About the Role

This is a full-time, permanent role in Onehunga, mostly internal sales support and, hands-on warehouse duties . If you enjoy variety, take pride in accuracy, and thrive in a team environment, this role is for you.

Key responsibilities include:

• - Handle inbound customer enquiries by phone, email, and in person.
• - Prepare quotes, process sales orders, and confirm stock availability.
• - Build strong customer relationships through responsive internal sales support.
• - Respond to internal enquiries regarding stock availability and pricing (email and phone)
• - Pick, pack, and dispatch customer orders accurately
• - Receipt and process incoming stock
• - Maintain accurate inventory records, stocktakes, and cycle counts

Requirements

• - Monday to Friday 8am - 4.30pm
• - Internal sales or customer service experience
• - Warehousing, dispatch, or inventory control experience (an advantage)
• - Fork hoist licence an advantage
• - Intermediate computer literacy (ERP systems, Outlook, Excel)
• - Physically fit to complete manual handling and warehouse tasks
