Job summary

Chemist Warehouse The Valley in New Zealand is seeking an intern pharmacist to join a supportive, experienced team. You will learn on the job, with guidance from a preceptor and our education team while contributing to dispensing and patient care.

You must have completed a Bachelor of Pharmacy and be eligible to register as a Pharmacy Intern with the Pharmacy Council NZ, with strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit.

Qualifications

• Completed Bachelor of Pharmacy degree with a NZ university or institute.
• Eligible to register as a Pharmacy Intern with the Pharmacy Council NZ and obtain an Annual Practising Certificate.
• Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for patient care.
• Reliable, organised, and eager to learn.
• Enjoy working in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in dispensing medications accurately and safely.
• Provide excellent customer service and health advice.
• Support the delivery of pharmacy services (e.g., vaccinations, health checks).
• Maintain stock, workflow, and dispensary standards.
• Work alongside the pharmacist preceptor to meet internship requirements.
• Dispensary clean and tidy.
• Attend Chemist Warehouse training days.

Intern Job Description

As an intern pharmacist with Chemist Warehouse The Valley you will be working and learning at the same time! You will be expected to manage your training and assessments for the Internship Training Program with guidance from your preceptor and our education team, alongside your work and commitments.

About you:
